CoPact and Opal, side by side.
Opal is the bigger app for your own screen time. With other people in the room, the two work differently.
Is there an app like Opal you can use with friends?
Yes. CoPact is built for blocking apps with other people: up to 20 people join one block, each on their own iPhone, for hours agreed in advance, and ending a Strict one early takes more than half of them. Opal is for your own screen time, on iPhone, Android and Mac, and people you add there see your daily total.

As read on 2 October 2026.
| Opal | CoPact | |
|---|---|---|
| Made for | Your own screen time: blocks, app limits, schedules and focus reports | Time with other people, and your own blocks in between |
| With other people | People you add see your daily Screen Time total, and you can compete on a leaderboard | Up to 20 people join one block, each on their own iPhone |
| Ending a block early | Up to you. Pro adds a level with no breaks and no early end, and an Emergency Pass once a week | Strict: the timer, or more than half of the people still in it voting. Flexible: whoever started it. Everyone has an Emergency Pass once a week |
| Platforms | iPhone, Android and Mac | iPhone, iOS 26.5 or later |
| Price | A free plan with one rule. Pro is $19.99 a month, $99.99 a year or $399 once | 7 days free, then $4.99 a month or $29.99 a year. Each person pays for their own |
| What others see | Your daily Screen Time total, if you add them | Your name, your initial and what you did in the block, never your apps |

When CoPact is the better pick

- You do the same evening every week: a block can repeat on the days you pick, and each person counts themselves in.
Questions.
Can I block apps on someone else’s phone?
Not without them. With CoPact, each person joins the block on their own iPhone, and nobody can lock a phone that has not joined.
Is CoPact free?
No. Someone new to CoPact gets 7 days free, then it is $4.99 a month or $29.99 a year, and everyone who joins starts their own trial. Opal has a free plan with one rule, and Opal Pro is $19.99 a month, $99.99 a year or $399 once, as read on 2 October 2026.
Does CoPact work on Android?
No. CoPact runs on iPhone with iOS 26.5 or later, so everyone who joins needs an iPhone. Opal lists apps for iPhone, Android and Mac.
Who can end a CoPact block early?
Under Strict, nobody on their own: it ends on its timer, or when more than half of the people still in it vote to end it. With two, that is both. A Flexible one can be ended by whoever started it.
Can I use CoPact on my own, like Opal?
Yes. Quick Block, Schedules, Time Limits and Open Limits work with nobody else in them, and blocking on your own never asks you to sign in.
Does it keep blocking when CoPact is closed?
Yes. CoPact blocks through Apple's Screen Time, so the block holds with the app closed, after a force quit and through a restart.
