How to block apps at bedtime

  1. 1

    Set your sleep hours

They start at 22:00 and 08:00. Bedtime moves anywhere from 20:00 to 02:00, waking from 04:00 to 12:00.

  2. 2

Start it when you turn in

Inside those hours, one tap starts a Strict block that runs to your wake time.

  3. 3

    It holds until morning

No breaks and no early ending until your wake time. Your Always Allowed apps still answer.

The hour you lose is never the hour you decided to lose. It is eleven, then it is one, and the decision was made by whoever you are at midnight rather than whoever you were at nine.

Sleep protection takes that decision off midnight you. It is Strict by design: no break, no edit, no early end until your wake time, enforced by iOS rather than by willpower.

The same sleep hours are what the Score reads your night against, so the morning after tells you plainly whether it worked.

Questions.

Can I use it on my own?

Yes. Solo blocking never asks you to sign in; a crew is the part that needs an account, so the people in it can see each other.

What is the difference between Flexible and Strict?

Flexible gives you a break of up to 20 minutes that asks what you need, then relocks itself. Strict gives you no breaks, no edits and no early end until the timer runs out.

What if I actually need a blocked app?

Your Always Allowed apps stay open under every pact. Past those, the Emergency Pass opens everything for one hour, once a week.

Better kept together.
