Everything you need to write about it.

CoPact is an iPhone app blocker made for time with other people: up to 20 people block their phones together for the hours they all agreed on, and on your own the same block holds you to your word.

Boilerplate.

Short, 50 words

CoPact is an iOS app blocker built for the people in the room. A crew of up to 20 puts their phones in one pact, every phone blocks every app for the time they agreed on, and a Strict pact ends only by its timer or when more than half of the people in it vote to end it. On your own, the same pact holds you to your word.

Medium, 100 words

CoPact is an iOS app blocker made for time with other people. Start a crew of up to 20 people, invite them with a link, and everyone’s phone blocks every app for the evening, the study night or the date you agreed on. Anyone can join while it runs, and a Strict pact ends only by its timer or when more than half of the people in it vote to end it. On your own, the same pact holds you to your word: Flexible gives you a break of up to 20 minutes that asks what you need, Strict gives you no door until the timer ends, and an Emergency Pass opens everything for one hour, once a week. We hold the block with the app closed, using Apple’s Screen Time frameworks.

Long, 200 words

CoPact starts from the moment every app blocker misses: a dinner where everyone is half on their phone, and the promise to put it away that nobody keeps. So the pact is made together. A crew of up to 20 agrees on a time, every phone blocks every app for that time, the Live Activity counts down on every Lock Screen, and anyone who reaches for Instagram meets the same shield: "You made a pact with your crew. Keep it together." A Strict crew pact ends only by its timer or when more than half of the people in it vote to end it.

On your own, the same pact holds you to your word. You set the terms of getting out while you’re clear-headed. Flexible gives you a break of up to 20 minutes that asks what you need, then relocks itself. Strict gives you no breaks, no edits and no early end. Time Limits and Open Limits give an app a daily budget, and an Emergency Pass opens everything for one hour, once a week.

CoPact holds the block through Apple’s Screen Time frameworks, not a VPN. A pact keeps going with the app closed and after a restart. Pick a list of apps rather than blocking everything, and the same pact covers the web domains you name and can hide those apps from the Home Screen. Nothing about which apps anyone uses ever leaves their phone. A crew sees what you did, never what you use. A daily Score from Sleep, Focus and Rest shows whether the pacts are working.
