Game night
Block your phones together for game night.
Four hours where the only screen in the room is the scoreboard.
How the evening goes
-
1
Start it with the first round
One person sets the hours. Everyone else gets one notification.
-
2
Everyone is in
Discs fill in as people join, with a live dot next to whoever is currently under the block.
-
3
It ends together
On the timer, or when more than half of the people still in it vote to end it early.
Game night dies quietly. Nobody announces they are leaving; they just stop looking up, and by the third round half the room is somewhere else.
One pact fixes the terms for everyone at once. Every phone that joins blocks every app for the hours you agreed on, and iOS keeps blocking with CoPact closed, after a force quit and through a restart.
Ending early is possible and it is a decision you make together. One person cannot fold for the room; it takes more than half of the people still in it.
Questions.
How many people fit in a crew?
Ten: you and up to nine others. Any member can start a pact, and anyone can join while it runs.
Can one person end it for everyone?
Under Strict, no: it ends on its timer, or when more than half of the people still in it vote to end it. A Flexible crew pact can be ended by whoever started it.
Does it keep blocking when CoPact is closed?
Yes. Enforcement runs inside Apple's Screen Time frameworks, so it holds with the app closed, after a force quit and through a restart.
Where else it holds.
The same pact, wherever you block apps with friends.

The hour before sleep stays the hour before sleep.
